Sarah-Jane Christensen is Director and Principal Consultant of Sarjan Consulting.

 Sarah-Jane Christensen is a professional director and lawyer with over 20 years’ experience working with leading corporate organisations.  Sarah-Jane advises on legal and governance issues for boards across all sectors, with a particular focus on the not-for-profit sector.   She is also a Senior Fellow at Monash University, currently lecturing on directors’ duties and corporate governance for postgraduate law students and an accredited facilitator of the Company Director Course with the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Sarah- Jane has been a non-executive director on the board of Cougar Energy Limited (an ASX listed company) and Vice Chair of Carey Baptist Grammar (a major independent school).   She is currently a non-executive director of Australian Business Volunteers Limited (a non-government volunteer agency) and a private family business.

Sarah-Jane holds a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Law from Monash University and a Master of Law and Master of Business Administration from The University of Melbourne and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Sector experience includes joint venture companies, private enterprises, industry associations, not-for-profit organisations and government statutory entities.  Industry experience includes financial services, mining, energy, social services, water, volunteering and sustainability.
